Jerry’s Sharpening Service

Overview
Finding a job as a gardener was one of the best things I ever did – it lead me into the fascinating world of sharpening. There are so many different tools required in every day life from knives to scissors, garden tools, grooming clippers and so on. I was truly amazed at the variety.
As a gardener, I had to learn how to sharpen various tools and when I saw an advert to train as a sharpener I immediately took up the offer and set up my own business sharpening and repairing tools.
Often I am asked if a rusty garden tool, such as secateurs, are any good to sharpen and I show them that after a soaking in a rust remover and a good sharpen they’re nearly as good as new and with loving care will last for many more years…so the answer is a resounding yes!
A lot of the older garden tools have been manufactured using good quality steel that will outlive today’s modern steel. Try not to be enticed into buying cheap and regretting it and becoming a member of the throw away society.
Don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email to have a chat about what I can do for you – I love to help if I can.
